You are meant to do something in-between what you love and what you are good at.

Over long periods of time, people can become good at what they love or come to love what they happen to be good at. I have seen both of these things happen.

I think the real fallacy is believing that it is a question of black and white.

Believing in predestination is a recipe for disaster, as is believing that there is not a genetic component to skill and work.
